SJHL POWER RANKINGS

1-YORKTON TERRIERS (21-7-0-1) ... 1st last week
Terriers look like the class of the league right now, even opposing teams are raving about them.

2-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (18-8-0-3) ... 2nd last week
Hounds have won their last two and fare very well against fellow contending clubs.

3-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (21-9-0-0) ... 3rd last week
They’ve split their last ten, maintain a six point cushion atop the North

4-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (17-9-2-0) ... 4th last week
A rather average looking weekend road trip for the Broncos, who got back in win column yesterday

5-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (16-10-1-2) ... 5th last week
They still don’t look right, but battled to get a single point on Saturday against struggling Kindersley.

6-NIPAWIN HAWKS (13-9-1-4) ... 6th last week
Closing the gap between and Humboldt for second in the North

7-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (14-13-1-0) ... 7th last week
They’ve been excellent over the last three weeks, except for that Yorkton-Melville road trip.

8-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (12-17-0-3) ... 9th last week
Weren’t they supposed to mail it in?

9-WEYBURN RED WINGS (9-16-0-1) ... 10th last week
Full marks to Darcy Pindus and Mark Schneider as they look as though they’ve righted the ship.
10-MELFORT MUSTANGS (12-16-1-1)  ... 8th last week
Mustangs have dropped their last two and have dropped into North cellar.

11-ESTEVAN BRUINS (10-16-2-0) ... 12th last week
Martinu not relinquishing his number one puckstopping role.

12-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (10-16-2-2) ... 11th last week
Escaped with two points on Saturday in Melville, but well overmatched against Yorkton.
WHO’S HOT

Curtis Martinu, Estevan (2-1, 1.67, .951)
Back to back shutouts for Bruin workhorse.

Michael Salmon, Notre Dame (2-1, 1.34, .937)
Teams don’t catch a break when Reichenbach gets a breather.

Giovanni Bombini, Kindersley (4-2-5-7)
He looks more and more comfortable as the season wears along.

Christian Magnus, Melville (2-4-2-6)
Magnus answered the ESPN Football ‘Where You At’ with authority on Saturday.

Graham Smerek, La Ronge (5-4-6-10)
One of the best two-way players in the league is showcasing offense these days.

Patrick Martens, Yorkton (4-3-6-9)
Yorkton’s top forward the last couple of weeks.

Brady Norrish, Yorkton (4-2-5-7)
A star is born.  He’s controlling games now.
