Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
completed four trades today during the first day of the Quebec Major
Junior Hockey Leagues December trade period.
The
first deal saw Cape Breton trade 19-year-old forward Blake Millman
(1993-02-20) to the Quebec Remparts in exchange for a 5th round draft
pick (2013). Millman played 103 career games with the Screaming Eagles
and recorded 5 goals, 3 assists, and 206 penalty minutes.
The
Screaming Eagles then traded the 5th round pick that they received from
Quebec in the Millman deal to acquire Florence, NS native Michael Lyle
(1995-08-03) from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. The 17-year-old forward
played 53 games with the Titan over the span of two seasons and recorded
1 goal and 4 assists.
Additionally,
the Screaming Eagles traded their 3rd round (2013) draft pick to the
Drummondville Voltigeurs to acquire 19-year-old forward Bryce Milson
(1993-01-25). Milson, a third year player from Miramichi, NB had 5
goals and 6 assists in 32 games with the Voltigeurs this season.
