CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ian McNulty, Melville Millionaires
1992 F Ian McNulty (Brooks AB) appears to be back to full health and he dominated the SJHL again this past week with 4-goals and 3-assists in 3-games played. He began the week with a goal and an assist up in La Ronge and then followed it up with a pair of goals at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon to beat the Bombers on home ice. He capped it with a three point effort back on home ice against Melfort. McNulty, the SJHL scoring leader, has 13-goals and 29-assists in 28-games overall.
CANALTA HOTELS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Mitch Boucher, Notre Dame Hounds
1992 D Mitch Boucher (Moose Jaw SK) had points in three of his team’s four games played last week and he continues to rise amongst the upper echelon of offensive scoring blueliners in the SJHL. His biggest output came Friday night when he scored a goal and two assists in a dominating victory over La Ronge. He also had assists on Tuesday in Weyburn and on Saturday in Flin Flon. The Hounds won all three games in which Boucher hit the scoresheet. With 6-goals and 19-assists in 31-games, Boucher is the second leading scoring defenseman in the SJHL.

Casey Parker, Battlefords North Stars
1995 G Casey Parker (Regina SK) relieved an injured Connor Creech on Thursday night against Nipawin and then played again two nights later against the Weyburn Red Wings and was brilliant, stopping all 42-shots that came his way. In total, Parker played 106 minutes of scoreless hockey, including 65 minutes against Weyburn in which the Stars emerged 1-0 winners. In fact, Parker didn’t even give up a goal in the shootout.

Alex Wakaluk, Melville Millionaires
1993 G Alex Wakaluk (Bellevue AB) was superb in all three starts last week, going 3-and-0, and stopping 97-of-102 shots faced (.951 SPCT). He posted a 1.67-GAA for the week and was instrumental in helping the Mils win a tough road game in Flin Flon. For the season, Wakaluk leads the league in minutes played and is tied for the league lead in wins (15). His 2.29-GAA ranks second and his .930-SPCT is also second.
Alex Wakaluk, Melville Millionaires
1993 G Alex Wakaluk (Bellevue AB) was superb in all three starts last week, going 3-and-0, and stopping 97-of-102 shots faced (.951 SPCT).
