Bobcats Acquire Dzakhov in Trade

Press Release

BISMARCK, ND – With the mid-point of the 2012-13 season approaching, the Bismarck Bobcats secured another 2012 offseason acquisition Wednesday, pulling the trigger for a trade for forward Stanislav Dzakhov from the Fargo Force.

Dzakhov, a 19-year-old from Moscow, Russia, was originally an 8th round pick by the Bobcats in May’s NAHL Entry Draft.

“Stanislav is a high-talent forward that we’ve had our eye on for a long time,” stated Bobcats head coach and general manager Layne Sedevie. “We drafted him because we are excited about his talent and his finishing ability so we’re really excited to get him in black and gold for the second half of the season.”
In two seasons with Fargo, Dzakhov has 12 goals and eight assists in 66 games played.
The Bobcats sent the Force future considerations for the 1993-born front-liner.

As veteran Filip Starzynski (Poland) and rookie Roope Hintz (Finland) are already on the roster as imported players, the Bobcats were able to acquire Dzakhov when the NAHL announced Wednesday that USA Hockey had increased the league’s roster limit on import players from two to four, effective immediately.
