Raiders Re-Assign Meyer

Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have re-assigned 16-year-old forward Spencer Meyer to the Grandview Steelers of the Pacific International Junior Hockey League.

Meyer, who was selected by the Raiders in the 4^th round, 88^th overall, in the 2011 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, appeared in one game this season, recording two penalty minutes. He also played in three pre-season games, collecting one assist.

The move brings the Raiders roster down to 24 players, including 2 goaltenders, 9 defencemen and 13 forwards. By age, the Raiders have three 20-year-olds, five 19-year-olds, eleven 18-year-olds, three 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds.

The Raiders take on the Red Deer Rebels tonight at 7:00 PM the Art Hauser Centre. It is the first Raiders Vegas Night, with one lucky fan winning a trip for two to Las Vegas including 2 night’s accommodation and 2-way airfare from Saskatoon.
