Raiders Re-Assign Meyer

Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have re-assigned 16-year-old forward Spencer Meyer to the Grandview Steelers of the Pacific International Junior Hockey League.

Meyer, who was selected by the Raiders in the 4th round, 88th overall, in the 2011 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, appeared in one game this season, recording two penalty minutes. He also played in three pre-season games, collecting one assist.


The move brings the Raiders roster down to 24 players, including 2 goaltenders, 9 defencemen and 13 forwards. By age, the Raiders have three 20-year-olds, five 19-year-olds, eleven 18-year-olds, three 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds.

The Raiders take on the Red Deer Rebels tonight at 7:00 PM the Art Hauser Centre. It is the first Raiders Vegas Night, with one lucky fan winning a trip for two to Las Vegas including 2 night’s accommodation and 2-way airfare from Saskatoon.
