It’s a hockey smorgasbord! All 11 MJHL teams at one venue ─ MTS IcePlex.
The 2012 Old Dutch-MJHL Showcase weekend begins this Thursday with
the new Virden Oil Capitals taking on Winnipeg Blues. (Complete schedule
can be seen here).
“Showcase has become a very popular event for both our fans and of
course scouts who attend the event,” MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis said.
“The feedback we receive from scouts is highly positive. They appreciate
being able to stay at one venue and watch all the teams and those
players who might be prospects. A number of MJHL players have been
identified specifically because of Showcase.”
This is the 9th annual Old Dutch/MJHL Showcase event.
“It’s really a hockey fan’s ultimate dream,” said David. “The players
in our league enjoy this event, which provides them an excellent
opportunity to showcase their talents.”
