Lakers mourn loss of former player

Press Release

After a successful weekend on the ice for the Lakers Hockey Team, it is shocking that we learned of the news on our way home of one of our family members passing away last evening.

It is with great sorrow that we learned Jaret Leclair, who played for the team the last three seasons, suddenly passed away.

Jaret was a brother, teammate and friend of many people that have been involved in our organization/family.
Jaret will be remembered on the ice for his competitive edge, sacrifice for his team and teammates, his will to be a winner, a solid two-way player and do whatever it took mentality.

But more so Jaret will always be remembered by the organization and teammates for his friendship, loyalty and perseverance to overcome anything in life.

He will be deeply missed by all that he touched and remembered for the person he was forever.
The entire Fort Frances Lakers organization sends our deepest condolences to Jaret’s family and friends.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers in this time of sadness.

To the Lakers’ family, stay strong at this time and be proud of our brother.
