The Toronto Jr Canadiens are pleased to welcome Dr. Giovanni Perri to their staff.
Dr. Perri began his academic career at York University where he
obtained a Bachelor of Arts Specialized Honors degree in Kinesiology.
His passion for sports medicine led him to the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College where he graduated with clinical honors in 2009
with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Currently, Dr. Perri is continuing
his education with a post-graduate fellowship in sports sciences
through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences Canada. He was
part of the core medical team for Cricket Canada and official health
care provider for Cricket Canada during the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup
as well as a published author in the Journal of the Canadian
Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Perri applies the Functional Integrated Therapy (FIT) approach to assessment and treatment of sports injuries, non-sports related injuries, and performance optimization for a variety of sports including hockey, cricket, baseball, tennis, football, soccer and running. He utilizes Active Release Techniques ®, acupuncture, instrument assisted soft tissue, joint mobilization/manipulation to restore optimal biomechanics and function.
