GM Pierre Roux Relieved of Duties

Press Release

The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that Pierre Roux has been relieved of his duties as General Manager.

"As an organization we did not feel that we had made enough headway at this stage in our rebuilding process", said Screaming Eagles President Andre Cote. "We were not seeing enough progress in the hockey program, and for that reason we decided to make the change".

Roux worked for the Screaming Eagles for two seasons as assistant GM before taking over as GM Hockey Operations in May 2011.

"We remain committed to providing our fans with the brand of competitive Eagles hockey they deserve", said Cote. "This was a major decision, but we feel it is in the best interest of our hockey club".

Screaming Eagles Head Coach Ron Choules will take over the General Manager duties on an interim basis.

The Screaming Eagles would like to wish Pierre Roux best of luck in his future endeavors.
