Press Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - Firm
believers that nobody should go hungry, the Belleville Bulls Hockey
Club and Kellogg Canada have developed a newly formed partnership that
aims to support Gleaners Food Bank Quinte this season.
On November 17, December 15, January
19 and February 16, Gleaners Food Bank will be on hand at the Yardmen
Arena with food collection booths and barrels as Bulls game night staff
and volunteers from Kellogg assist in the collection process. In
addition, Kellogg will be making a donation to Gleaners Food Bank
following the conclusion of the four game nights.
The Bulls and Kellogg will also be
teaming up in the Santa Claus Parade on November 18. Traveling the
parade route next to one another, Bulls players and staff will work
alongside Kellogg volunteers in the food collection effort. Kellogg will
also be distributing snacks to observers along the parade route.
“We’re really enthusiastic about our
relationship with Kellogg,” said Bulls Marketing & Ticket Services
Manager Scott Dickson. “To align ourselves with a company that puts
their surrounding community first is an ideal that we ourselves want to
exemplify in our interactions with the Belleville community and the
surrounding Quinte region.”
“As a food company – and one with a
longstanding heritage of giving back to the communities in which we
operate – we understand the need to address the growing hunger problem
in Canada,” said Lores Tomé, director, corporate affairs, Kellogg Canada
Inc. “In keeping with our company’s legacy of community investment and
involvement, we’re pleased to support Gleaners Food Bank in their
efforts to fight hunger in Belleville and the Quinte Region this holiday
season.”
Kellogg and the Belleville Bulls drop
the puck on their campaign against hunger on Saturday, November 17 when
the Plymouth Whalers visit the Yardmen Arena. For ticket information,
