Vees captain Johnston hits scoresheet in Games 3 and 4 to earn POW nod

Press Release

Penticton Vees forward and captain Logan Johnston is the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 15, the league announced on Monday.

Johnston was one of just three players to have a multiple-point game in either Game 3 or 4 (Cohen Adair and Joey Benik were the others).

He assisted on the Vees first goal in their comeback win in Game 3 and then set up two others, including the game-winner, in Game 4 as the Vees closed out the Powell River Kings in four games to win the Fred Page Cup.

The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Penticton native has recorded four goals and four assists in 15 BCHL playoff games.

Honourable mentions this week go to Powell River Kings forward Cohen Adair (three goals, one assist, 1st Star, 2nd Star), Vees forward Curtis Loik (one GWG, one assist), Kings defenceman Craig Dalrymple (two assists), Vees forward Wade Murphy (two goals, one OT GWG) and Vees defenceman Nick Buchanan (one goal).
