Marinaccio Commits To Bemidji State

(April 18th, 2012) - The Chicago Steel are proud to announce that Phillip Marinaccio has committed to play hockey for Bemidji State University. His commitment comes one week after he was named the United States Hockey League's CCM Offensive Player of The Week.

The Vaughan, Ontario native finished the season with 38 (10g, 28a) points in 44 games. In the last twenty games of the season, Marinaccio registered 28 points, including a five-point performance in Chicago's 9-4 victory over Team USA U-17 on April 7 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Bemidji State is a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and has made four NCAA Hockey Tournament Appearances since the 2005 season. In 2009, the Beavers made it all the way to the Frozen Four, before losing 4-1 to Miami University in the national semifinals.
