FRONTENAC ORGANIZATION SADDEN BY LOSS

The Kingston Frontenac Hockey Club is saddened with the loss of Liam Kirkwood who passed away on Saturday April 7th and wishes to express their sincerest condolences to the Kirkwood family.

Liam was drafted by the organization in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection from his hometown of Sudbury, where he played with the Sudbury Nickel Capitals. He was described as a “hard-nosed defenceman with a good shot from the point, and attended the Frontenac’s training camp that fall.

Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 30 Beech St, Sudbury on Thursday April 12th at 10 a.m.

Donations to the Sick Kids Hospital, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer or Pediatrics Oncology Group of Ontario would be appreciated.
