FRIDAY’S GAME TO BE TELEVISED ON KCRG 9.2

Press Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Once again, the Fighting Saints will have an opportunity to win a trophy in front of a television audience on KCRG 9.2. Last May, it was the Clark Cup that the team captured with coverage of the game broadcast throughout Eastern Iowa, but Friday, the Fighting Saints will aim to clinch the Cowbell Cup, hosting the Waterloo Black Hawks in the regular season series finale between the two teams. Coverage of the game will also be streamed live worldwide on KCRG.com.

The Fighting Saints look to close out the season series with a fifth win (out of eight games) over the Black Hawks and an unblemished mark against Waterloo at the Mystique Community Ice Center. A win for the Fighting Saints would give them the top record in head–to-head play against the Black Hawks and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, and thereby earn Dubuque the Cowbell Cup in the trophy’s first season of existence.

Pregame coverage for Friday’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the puck dropping at 7:35. Replays on KCRG 9.2 will air in the coming weeks so that fans who were in attendance can rewatch the game. Replays will air on Sunday, April 15, at 12:05 a.m., Monday, April 23, at 2:40 a.m., Monday, April 30, at 2:40 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, May 8, at 7 p.m.

KCRG 9.2 is Eastern Iowa's source for live and local events. A 40-foot production truck allows KCRG 9.2 to produce a high-quality broadcast from almost any location. KCRG 9.2 has covered primarily high school sports and community events since their acquisition of the production truck in 2011, and they have entered into coverage of the USHL with the Fighting Saints.

Fans in the coverage area of KCRG can tune-in to the over the air signal on channel 9.2. In the Dubuque area, KCRG 9.2 can be seen on Mediacom channel 109, and the live broadcast can also be seen on KCRG.com.
