Eagles & The Eagle renew deal

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have come to terms with 103.5 The Eagle on a new three-year broadcast agreement. The new agreement will begin on June 1, 2012 and end May 31, 2015.

Under the terms of the agreement all 68 regular season games and all playoff games will broadcast on The Eagle at 103.5 FM.

Screaming Eagles Marketing Director Peter MacDonald was pleased to see both sides able to come to a new agreement.

“We receive tremendous support from The Eagle and it’s affiliate station The Giant and it’s important knowing that this will allow our fans to stay in touch with our team over the next three seasons.

Dave Newbury General Manager of The Eagle understands the important role the Screaming Eagles play in the community which is a key factor from the radio stations perspective.

“From the first day we went on the air we realized it is important that we support local intiatives and the partnership we have with the Screaming Eagles has been very positive and this agreement means that this relationship with grow stronger.”

The 2012-2013 regular season is tentatively scheduled to begin on Thursday September 20.
