Press Release
Saskatoon, SK - The Dallas Stars have signed Saskatoon Blades forward Matej Stransky to a three year entry level contract.
Stransky was the Stars 6th round choice, 165th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The Czech Republic-native led the Blades in scoring this season by posting 39 goals and 81 points in 70 games. That was a big improvement over the 26 points Stransky registered in his draft year last season.
"We are excited to announce the signing of Matej," Stars General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk said via a team press release. "His development with Saskatoon over the last two seasons is an encouraging sign of a player who we think has a successful future with the Stars organization."
The Saskatoon Blades would like to congratulate Matej on the big milestone in his hockey career.
