SilverBacks' Muller earns POW with consistent week of play

Salmon Arm SilverBacks forward Devin Muller has been named the British Columbia Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, the league announced Monday.

Muller, a native of Switzerland, helped the 'Backs to five of a possible six points and racked up eight points along the way. He began with a goal and three assists and a 2nd Star nod in a win over Trail, scored twice for 1st Star in an OT win over Westside and chipped in two helpers in an OT loss to Chilliwack.

The 6-foot, 185-pound playmaker now has 11 goals and 15 assists on the season, putting him second on the team.

Honourable mentions this week go to Cowichan Valley Capitals forward Matt Brown (two games, four goals, three assists, 1st Star, 2nd Star), Vernon Vipers goalie Kirby Halcrow (two games, two wins, 0.96 GAA, .968 sv.%, 2nd Star, 3rd Star), Penticton Vees forward Connor Reilly (two games, five goals, two assists, 1st Star) and Salmon Arm SilverBacks forward Bryce Gervais (three games, six goals, two assists, 1st Star, 2nd Star).
