KCRG 9.2 TO TELEVISE FOUR MORE SAINTS GAMES

Press Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The exciting atmosphere of four Fighting Saints games will be captured live on KCRG 9.2 as the defense of the Clark Cup rolls on in Dubuque. The Fighting Saints and KCRG 9.2 have agreed to televise four marquee Fighting Saints matchups throughout the remainder of the 2011-12 regular season. In addition to the broadcasts being available both live and on delay on KCRG 9.2 in Eastern Iowa, they will be streamed live worldwide on KCRG.com.

The four games to be broadcast by KCRG 9.2 figure to be among the most exciting matchups over the course of the regular season. The schedule will commence when the rival Cedar Rapids RoughRiders come to Dubuque on the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 23. It will be the first meeting of eight between the two teams during the regular season, with an air time of 7:00 p.m.

The broadcast schedule continues on Saturday, December 17 (7:00 air time), as the Waterloo Black Hawks make their first trip to the Mystique Community Ice Center. In addition to the first visit by the Black Hawks to Dubuque, Santa Claus himself will be present for the evening as the Fighting Saints host the Teddy Bear Toss for Toys for Tots for the second consecutive season. Two other Waterloo games will be featured, with the first coming on Friday, February 24 (7:30 air time) and the final broadcast of the regular season will occur on Friday, April 6 (7:30 air time).

Fighting Saints President Dan Lehv is excited to continue the broadcast partnership with KCRG 9.2, which has provided viewers throughout Eastern Iowa with opportunities to see the excitement on and off the ice during the Clark Cup Final last May, and on opening night of the 2011-12 season.

"These telecasts provide an outstanding outlet to expose the fun and excitement of Fighting Saints hockey to viewers throughout Eastern Iowa,” he said. “Not only do the telecasts help to grow our fan base, but they add an intriguing element to our rivalries with Cedar Rapids and Waterloo."

The four broadcasts will bring the total number of Fighting Saints games carried on KCRG 9.2 to seven dating back to May. Once again, Fighting Saints radio voices Patrick Murray and Don Keck will provide play-by-play and color commentary.

KCRG 9.2 is Eastern Iowa's source for live and local events. A 40-foot production truck allows KCRG 9.2 to produce a high-quality broadcast from almost any location. KCRG 9.2 has covered primarily high school sports and community events since their acquisition of the production truck earlier this year, and they have entered into coverage of the USHL with the Fighting Saints.

Fans in the coverage area of KCRG can tune-in to the over the air signal on channel 9.2. In the Dubuque area, KCRG 9.2 can be seen on Mediacom channel 109, and the live broadcast can be seen on KCRG.com.
