The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today released the 2011-12 regular season schedule. A total of 578 games will be played between the seventeen QMJHL clubs; 34 home and 34 away games for a total of 68 games per team.
78% of all contests will be played on weekends in order to help players consolidate the development of their on-ice skills with academics.
The regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 8 as the Moncton Wildcats travel to Saint John to face the defending President Cup and MasterCard Memorial Cup champions.
Of note, no games are scheduled between December 19 and 26 due to the Holidays.
