Neepawa Natives Announce Affiliation With Lundar Falcons

Press Release

Bryant Perrier, General Manager and Head Coach of the Neepawa Natives Hockey Club is pleased to announce the team affiliation with the Lundar Falcons of the Keystone Junior “B” League (KJHL) for the 2011-2012 season.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to affiliation with the Lundar Falcons. This gives our team a chance to have players develop on a daily basis in a good league with good coaching. We also like the fact that players can now be called up to practice and play with the Natives to hone their skills at any time,” said Perrier.

The Lundar Falcons were also appreciative to have this partnership formed. General Manager, Garry Appleyard is extremely pleased to form a strong bond between the two organizations. “This will give us a chance to build into a strong competitive team this year. We are very excited to help our players improve both on and off the ice with the Natives support,” said Appleyard.

The final piece to the puzzle that brought this affiliation together was the hiring of Jim Platt. Jim is a local Neepawa resident who understands the philosophy of the Natives program. He has also spend time helping out with various evaluation camps over the past two years.

“Jim is a veteran coach and manager. He has been in the game since 1976. He is a teacher of the game and will definitely make his players better. They will learn the game and that is a key component for advancing to the next level of hockey," said Perrier.

The Lundar Falcon will be in attendance for the Natives main camp in August. They will be evaluating players and working closely with the Natives staff.
