Exter to join Ohio State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Joe Exter, who has spent the last four years as the first full-time goaltending coach at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, has resigned to accept a position as assistant coach at Ohio State University.

ExterJoeExter is also the coordinator of the revolutionary Warren Strelow National Goaltending Mentor Program, which is designed to recruit, develop and produce elite goaltenders in the United States.

“Joe is a dynamic coach with a great future who in four years, took a new position and built a strong national program for goaltenders,” said Scott Monaghan, senior director of operations for the NTDP. “We look forward to following his career.”

A nationwide search for Exter’s replacement is underway.
