MacLean to Join Canada’s Under-18 Squad

Sydney–Screaming Eagles Education Coordinator Gary MacLean has been selected by the Canadian Hockey League as the Academic Advisor to Canada’s Under-18 team that will compete at this year’s IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championships in Germany.

MacLean, a native of Albert Bridge, spent 30 years in the education system in Nova Scotia. He has been working with the Screaming Eagles for the past three seasons and is in charge of overseeing the education programs for all Screaming Eagles players at the high school, CEGEP and university levels.

He also oversees the Screaming Eagles Steps for Health School program and also acts as the representative for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Player Support Program.
